Anies to Inventory Problems of River Normalization

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan is about to inventory problems faced in the river normalization program.

"Seeing this, we intend to open an executive meeting about the river normalization throughout the region," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Monday (11/13).

Sunter River Normalization Reaches 47 Percent

After the problem is detected, he said, the best solution will be made. Thus the river normalization could be done maximally.

"We'll find out the problem, and then find the solution from regions that are experiencing the same problem," he stated.

Nevertheless, he assured the normalization would still run, as almost every river occurs narrowing. Consequently it will lead to potential flooding and inundation.

"I have seen some regions where its river's wide has narrowed from 10 becomes 2 meters," he said.
